Math & Science
Julie McLeroy
Welcome to A.C. Williams Elementary. My name is Julie McLeroy and I teach fourth grade math and science. It seems unbelievable to even me, but this year marks by thirty-fourth year in the classroom. I'm a proud graduate of Texas Tech University where I earned by undergraduate degree. My graduate degree is from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
My husband, Bob, and I have three grown children and six grands. Meredith. our oldest daughter, is a structural engineer. She is married to Ryan Joyce and they have three children, Britton-age 8, Caroline-age 7, and Asher-age 4. Marc, our son, and his wife, Stevie, have Carter-age 2 and are expecting Baby Miles soon. Marc is in the finance/banking world for TPG and they reside in Fort Worth. Meg, our youngest daughter, is married to Jonny Louvier and they live on Lake Gladewater. They have two children. Henry is 4 and Halle Jane is 1. Meg is a physical therapist covering the Tyler-Longview area.
Something special we all have in common is that we are all Texas Tech graduates. My husband grew up in West Texas and we love that area. We have a small family cabin on Lake Cisco and enjoy playing at the lake when we have time. We live on the outskirts of Commerce on a small farm.
I look forward to a productive fun-filled year of learning. Thank you for sharing your child with me.

Welcome to fourth grade! I can't wait for you to star your journey as a new fourth grader. It's going to be a year filled with fun, learning, and new adventures.
First, let me tell you a little bit about me. My husband and I have two children, and two cats named Jack and Jill. We also have a big dog visiting us right now. His name is Ruffy. He belongs to my brother, and is staying with us, until all of the Hurricane Harvey mess is cleaned up in Rockport. My oldest daughter Meagan, is a third grade teacher at A.C. Williams, and my daughter Emily is married and living in Connecticut with her husband who is in the Navy. When I have free time I like to read, sew and go to antique stores to look at old stuff. I also like spending time with my family, and playing with my grandson.
This year you will be busy learning through hands-on activities, group work, and creative projects. You will become a scientist, and we will learn all about weather, matter and energy, force and motion, and earth's resources. In math, we will conquer multiplication and long division as well as fractions and geometry. This year you will also get to create an interactive math journal that will help you to remember all of the the new things that we will learn.
I am so excited to be your teacher and for you to be part of this awesome all star class!
